Motor Neurone Disease

Created by Paul 14 years ago
The first minor symptoms of Motor Neurone Disease became apparent to Jane in 2007, when we were on holiday in South Africa. Speech started to become affected later in the year but it was February 2009 before MND could be confirmed. Jane had developed a form of Motor Neurone Diesease known as 'Progressive Bulbar Palsy'. By April/May in 2009 it became impossible for Jane to speak or swallow and she had a 'Peg' tube fitted which allowed her to take liquid food directly into her stomach.
