Jane was immensely proud of her family, and their importance to her was clear to see. She often talked of them at school and would share life experiences with friends. Again, it would be pure celebration of her family and was never done in a boastful way – it would be a shared experience which showed Jane’s wonderful ability to listen. We remember finding out that Jane was to attend a Red Carpet event through her brother’s involvement with the film ‘Confetti’, what hilarity ensued as we all discussed what Jane should wear and that she must practise her walk and make sure to wave at the camera specifically for SMC staff!
